Reader Question:
There so is this man we knew when I was at heart and high-school. We began speaking once more about 2 years ago (several years had passed away). I then found out his girlfriend committed suicide and remaining him by yourself along with his young children.
We appeared to hit it off, then again there clearly was a decline. We returned and out to see him several times, but I do believe there was a strain while we are now living in different states.
We stopped speaking for monthly or two. Now he’s disclosed in my opinion he was considering a relationship beside me but wasn’t yes.
Must I provide a trial?
-Ann (Nj)
Dr. Wendy Walsh’s Response:
Dear Ann,
You really need to have a trial as long as you are prepared to possess a relationship along with his kids, also.
Dating parents is an extremely really serious business. And, frankly, the kids’ mental wellness is the most important thing here.
Should your center is actually big enough to embrace this widower and his awesome grieving young children, however say do it now.
